Our story

This story of this land and its beings has been one of great hardship but also one of great magic and wonder. This is the story of one man’s incredible journey, his vision and his sacred mission. It is a story of grit, tenacity, strength, courage, commitment, heartache ,compassion, empathy, sympathy, indomitable spirit and unwavering faith.

This is the story of Sean Kilkenny and his beloved Forgotten Horses and the fire within his lionheart that ignited the flame that now burns incessantly as the sacred Fire of Peace on the land.

It has become a safe port of call for many bringing comfort, companionship and awareness to Mental Health and Wellbeing. Sean’s journey began 6 ½ years ago during lockdown when he was evicted from his former place of employment and was forced to house his 40 horses on 11 ½ acres in Tuamgraney, Co Clare. With no electricity, a three stall barn and one source of running water and a meager stipend from the government, the devastation and at times utter despair left Sean struggling in every single way to survive himself and feed his majestic herd.

From the ashes of a former life and as a symbol of Hope, a fire was lit on (name date). It fed, warmed, comforted and nourished all who sat in its care.

It was named The Fire of Hope.

From these embers, Sean's vision was ignited to build a Healing and Cultural center . A place where people could come to experience solace and healing from the horses at no cost to them.

A place where the indigenous customs of this land could be revived and enjoyed. A rambling house for music, storytelling, cooking, weaving, workshops teaching the old ways. A garden with 1 million roses in remembrance of loved ones.

A garden brimming with vegetable and medicinal herbs. A library with wholesome books. A land that holds such magic and healing. A land sustaining the horses, goats, sheep, hens, ducks, bees and all who live there.

It is the “HeartLands”

.

It is a place of PEACE.

Today the journey continues and the fire still burns incessantly as The Fire of Peace. Through the many MeitHeals happening, Sean leads the charge to complete his vision of building eiRE’s greatest Equine, Education,Training and Heart Healing Center. With the healing horses at the epicenter, it is being built “by the people for the people”

.

The Ogham stone stands proudly on the hill within the stone circle with “Dochas” (Hope)etched on it and Majestic. A symbol of Hope.

As a beacon it transmits the potent energy of the land and comforts all who sit in its gaze .TallToday we have people visiting from all over the world and now you are also invited to be a part of this journey.
